Default HELP scrap the planned vehicle tracking & road pricing policy

For all you drivers out there...
    http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/

Sign and pass it on. It only takes a minute.

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect a NIP with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website.

    I still signed it.

    Not that it'll matter.

If they think they can extract cash, they'll do whatever they like regardless.

Hi, I must have missed something here - I thought that it was going to be implemented as a pilot in a few areas and then gradually rolled out. Or am I thinking of other forms of road pricing??

Anyone got any guidance on this? Thanks...

    What's the point ?

This Government doesn't listen to the population anyway.

I say make them listen - use your vote. Get these clowns out of power - however, I fear it may already be too late and the damage has been done.

Yeah but what are you gonna replace these clowns with? More clowns with a different insignia (no not the new Vectra but their logo )

That, ukanalyst, is the main problem. The population has lost faith in ALL politicians - it makes no difference what colour rosette they wear anymore, as they are all out for one thing.

I guarantee that they will line their own pockets before lining mine. We need a big shake up of the whole political system to restore any confidence in it. I could go on for hours, but you are probably already bored.

    The whole thing stinks... IMO
