    could a knackered cat converter put my veccy in limp mode and make diagnostic reading say boost pressure fault?

    Sorry, can't answer your question but I have had two cars (not Vecs) that have had collapsed cats, it blocked the exhaust and severly restricted the power of the engine so I would presume the same thing on a Vec would cause some sort of error code.

    Have you pulled the pipes off the turbo and checked the turbine spins nice and does not wobble. I would imagine the error you have could be caused by a lot of things but things to check would be - turbo, vac lines, vac solenoid, vac controller (on the back of the engine), boost sensor, pipework from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to throttlebody, EGR, and maybe but hopefully not the ECU.

    Ive checked everytging mate.im putting it down ro electrical fault.im starting to give up.

    I know how you feel mate. My problem on my old car turned out to be the ECU so all the error codes and weird behavior were all red herrings and it was all down to the ECU. Hope you sort it
