    Default Supaguard / Gap Insurance

As per my other thread have bought another 'C' today and the dealer was offering me Supagaurd protection for £299 and Gap Insurance cover for £399 as options.
Now both do seem very good additions but am reluctant to shell out the extra wedge, anyone got any thoughts on these?, worth it or not.
I did have supagaurd on a V6 i used to have and did seem good????

I have back to invoice GAP on mine, £350 for a year year policy.

So in effect, if my car is 2 years, 10 months old, with 90,000 miles on and it gets written off, it would be worth about £5000, so this insurance would give me back the money to what I paid for the car.

Well worth it in my opinion.

Ye think your right, dont think i will opt for either extra. I will be looking after the new one more myself anyway, unlike the last one.

Gap cover on a deprecation heavy car like the Vectra and Signum is essential i think. But do check the policy. If you are unfortunate to have to claim, you have to stump up the remainder of the policy term in cash cos you were paying for it monthly. We got gap for £300 for the five years our car is financed. Cos the cost of the insurance was added to the finance we are fully covered with nothing (apart from car insurance excess) to fork out should the worst happen. So what I'm getting at is check if the insurance is paid in full by the finance company or you are paying the gap insurance company yourselve monthly.

I supaguarded mine when I brought it in October. Glad I did, spilt coffee on the carpet and t stained. Under the warranty they came out and cleaned the whole carpet. The leather interior is covered as is the paintwork and wheels. If the paint loses it's shine in the warranty period(2 years), they guarentee to resore it to as new shine condition. I'm happy with it
