    Default Rear interior light problems

    Hi guys
Fitted rear light today with STD loom no problems. I have led bulbs in front so fitted same bulbs in rear but sometimes when doors open all the lights will go out and I hear a relay click in the front then they will come back on againfew seconds later randomly as if I have short. Put standard bulbs in and all is fine and swopped front and rear bulbs over but only happens if LEDs are in the back. Thinking of soldering the terminals. Anyone else had this issue. As don't want to short any modules out. Cheers guys

I had the same problem. Normal lights in there and no problem at all. Put in led bulbs and either didn't work at all but if I moved them they would light up and short out the front.

I ended up removing the light controlls (out of the lense) completely and put two x12 led blue boards in there instead and thats been working a treat.

Filled the middle hole (where the switches used to be) with some perpex cut to size.

These are what I fitted. Just the right size too.

That's exactly the issues I'm having. I'd like to keep the controls though tbh as they will be handy to have one side on with the new baby. To keep an eye on him at night as the rears are dark tinted so may see if I can find smaller options but similar. Thanks loads for your reply

If you need any help with it give me a shout.

Just to warn you though it will be like daylight when you switch them on in the dark :-)

I will remove my light housing tomorrow and take a few pics so you can see what I have done.

    Hi Mate

As promised a couple of pics of mine.

Just to note that I dremeled the sides down so the pads would fit in snug and low in the lense.

Then run a few drops of super glue round the edges of the leds pads where its meets the plastic.

Don't use too much though as it will eat the pads and kill them.

    Cheers

    Chris
