    Default Intercooler pipes.

    hi.would several large cracks/splits cause the diagnostic tool to read there is a boost pressure fault?the splits are not through completely but the material is showing on the splits.when i rev it it doesnt seem to be losing presure but would it cause it ?can anyone help?

    I would say so yes, if its loosing enough for the ecu to detect then yeh it will log a fault mate

    If the splits are NOT all the way through then "no" but without pressure testing the pipes with the cracks then you could never be sure!!! and a pipe with a crack is likely to be leaking!

    the pipe has perished and the cotton is visble...would this cause boost pressure problems?

    well I would think so. I guess you could spray the pipes with some soapy water and rev it a bit. But them pipes need replacing anyway
