    Default Drive shaft

    Hi i was after a bit of advice regarding drive shafts, can a drive shaft off a petrol vectra fit a diesel vectra?

    I think you need to give us a few more details - like the models/year etc of the cars your talking about

    I would have thought it had more to do with the gearbox fitted than the engine.

    Have a look on Ebay - the listings like this one will tell you what models they fit -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1303705572...ht_1616wt_1151 - by the way I bought off theses people and the driveshaft was great quality with good service - or even call their helpline they are very helpful

    I would expect you will have to replace the shaft with one from the same engine type to be honest.

    Why are you needing to replace the driveshaft, by the way?

    are the inner cv joint to intermediate shaft on 1.9cdti 2006 ant different to n/s

    just get the lot for your car they might seem the same but they aren't, the amount of splines can differ... and if you look on ebay you can buy a new set for the price of a set of new ones... I recently replaced mine with new ones, both the drive shafts and the intermediate drive shaft... just shy of 100 pounds but all is new.

    it also makes for a cleaner looking car.
