    Default How would i know if ive got a broken spring ???

    Hi guys as the title says every time i go over a bad bump im geting a cloncking noise from the car its sounds like metal to metal clocking together so first thing i thought of was a broken spring so want to get this checked out over the next three days and any help much appreciated as always

    Best bet is to jack the car up and remove the wheel where the noise is coming from and fully inspect the spring. A break will be easily noticeable with the car jacked up up

    Could be a droplink, bush, track rod end, ball joint..... etc.

    If you have a broken spring, best changed in pairs, ie both fronts or both rears

    yeah if there broken im going to drop it on apex lowering springs £89 from larkspeed

    I had that metal clonking noise over speed bumps in my vec but when I inspected springs they were fine.Also the plastic sleeves where there. It turned out as the drivers side top mount bearing was shot.

    There was a common fault of lose radiator mounts that people thought where the suspension banging
