    Default Cylinder head

Right, I am going to get my cylinder head refurbed due to my slacking chain and get the valves checked.
Firstly has anyone bought the one off ebay where you send your head to them (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vauxhall-v...item588c43d9cf)??
Anyone think this is a good idea or a ridiculous price?
Second, what else would I need to replace when putting back together (gaskets-how many, head bolts etc)?
If I had to buy gaskets and seal should I buy a whole set or just what's required?

The main question I have is, the rocker cover is off so how do I remove the head?
I am mainly concerned about the cam's and if I remove these or they get sent off with it, any ideas?
With the head off can I easily replace the timing chain and tensioner?
    Thanks

    ****** expensive that mate.

Costs me. 80 quid in my local engine place.
A straight pressure test an skim is 40 quid.

As for the job if your unsure I'd recommend getting a Haynes manual.

Its worth getting all gaskets. (head, rocker, inlet, exhaust) new head bolts.

Will also need oil coolant etc

    Thanks Critch.
Well I phoned 1 more place local to me and he said just for the refurb without parts i'd be looking at 300.
He goona price it up and see what he can do.
You may know more people than me and I never find the cheapest place.
The Ebay company can supply all those bits, Gasket set, head bolts, valves if required timing chain kit (spring loaded) and refurb.
If all needed changing I worked out around 500 (not including postage from Bristol to Blackpool).
The fact he can vary the price (as I did ask) means it is a lot but as of yet I can't find cheaper.
Even with a Haynes, I don't think I will attempt the head without help.
Still need to check the bottom end to see if anything has been taken up around the pistons.
Piston rings will also be done at same time if I repair the car.
