Default Suspension & bushes, complete w. shipping to Ireland.

I know I'm chancing my arm a bit here - but I thought I'd ask.

My suspension (rear in particular) has been ..clunky.. for some time - but stupidly I've ignored it - cranked up the stereo and driven on.

The bloke at the test center I visited yesterday seemed unimpressed when the car failed the NCT on a busted rear shock..Opel, being the quick fix, quoted me unhappy (397e)..also I dont really think the SRI shocks are intended for the ever changing boggy roads around where I live..so some upgrades/refreshed parts are in order.

I've been looking about for a while now - but parts seemed to be scattered across suppliers, many of which dont seem keen on shipping outside the UK.

I'm essentially looking to replace droplinks, bushings, shocks & springs. (Am I missing anything?)
I had a brief look at coil-overs, but I dont think they'd be fit for purpose as most of them even at their softest setting would be rock solid. I love a good firm suspension - but I like having my teeth and intact vertebrae as well.

Anybody here that might know of a dealer that sells the parts needed & would be open to the idea of shipping to Ireland? (Southern Ireland, not NI).

I should probably specify.. I drive a 08 face lifted sri150 1.9cdti hatch - not quite sure if it makes much difference to the suspension parts..maybe I've just been ding my searches wrong, but most suspension kits seem to be for the pre-facelift variant?

    Thanking you in advance.

In pure desperation I've taken to eBay - it does seem that there are a few dealers that offer international shipping - parts are spread over multiple sellers though and if I was to go whole-hog on this puppy I'd end up with a shipping bill of about 100gbp :-( On principle alone I cant do that.. also I did find a seller flogging a full set of Powerflex bushings. (Keywords: POWERFLEX SUSPENSION BUSHES FULL BUSH KIT) - many rude comments could be made about the full bush kit - rudest of all is the 650gbp pricetag...so that's something I'll leave for a little while then..

I'm still looking - but at this stage I'm inclined to order a set of Monroes.. I was going to go for a set of Bilsteins B4 but they all say "not suitable for vehicles with sports suspension".. :-/

Try Top Gear (might get told off for putting the address).
Got my SPAX from them but it doesn't say about int shipping.
Failing that standard you can get from Vauxhall world parts as I believe they do int.

many local suppliers can source performance parts why not give your local motor factors a call. My local tyre dealer (Canavan Autocentre) in Lurgan NI quoted me for apex, spax and a few other makes for springs for my car

Quick follow up - is 515gbp a fair price for a new set of B12s with Eibach springs? Found someone willing to ship for 20e.. (works out at 660e including shipping)

    Hi Mate,
being a hard core opel/vaux man for years i have purchased everything i could every want from ebay, relying on one supplier for all parts is never the best option when you are trying to save money, have you tried lmfvauxhall?? they have very reasonable shipping prices and get even more reasonable with what you may purchase.

i feel your pain though as im living in cork, super south of the country, dose altogether, but i find getting shocks from one shop on ebay, springs from another and droplinks from another was never an issue.

    regards
    Dave
