Clutch/Transmission Specialists in Glasgow?

My DMF is really really needing done now - it hasn't failed and the clutch isn't slipping, however the noise is starting to irritate me. I am not paying Vauxhall £1,500 for the privilage, when a transmission specialist will do it got less than half that.

vx have droped the price off the dmf/clutch
just had mine done cost was 650 all in ( this was done by my vx macanic ) all the vx parts come to around 500 ( you can get cheaper , but if you buy from vx and have them fitted by a mecanic who knows what he is doing then vx cover the labour as well as the parts if anything go,s wrong ) think mr clutch wanted around 850 to do the same job .

Well it's one of the last of lots of faults then what do you expect for a 156k car.

who does your servicing ? . find a small independent that can do it , but you supply the parts from vx , then you will get the warranty from vx inc labour if anything goes wrong in the 12 months , ( was just going to get my parts from eurocar parts ,as they were a small bit cheaper , but they will only cover the part not the labour if the part fails . )

Gary they are out your way but my local Garage Fastfix has done a few DMF's on Vx's were very cheap on my timing kit job so if interested let me know and will get you a telephone number over by pm

As the car is remapped I'd possibly be going after an uprated clutch.

I would probably just order the DMF from Vauxhall and get the uprated clutch from somewhere else (needing to look into what to go for).
