The GSi has a rather large contraption, the diesels have a short intake that fits under the right side of the slam panel. I fitted to my 1.8, doesn't have any benefit that I can find, but it meant I could then fit the plastic radiator shrouds that are fitted to the front of the slam panel, from the diesels.

Really, the pipes are easy, or is it the crappy clips from the surround?

From what I could see the intake pipes must be fitted before the radiator packs are fitted. I think I ended up breaking the clips on the original intake and splitting it, in place, to get enough room to remove it. Sure I even slackened some of the rad mounting bolts too. Getting the new one in wasn't that much easier either.

Oh yeah, I'll shred my hands to bits getting my petrol one off, but done it enough times and broke enough of the clips it gets easier every time lol.

Does the 1.8 go over the rad and pop out the passenger side?
