    Default Under Car LED Project

This has been on hold for ages after 2/3 bad choices of LEDs and miss matched colours when delivered, all apparently "pure white"

Just got this delivered however... 5M waterproof strip

The plan has always been to have them come on/off with key fob like the rest of the LEDs I've wired, going to ditch the grill lights as they've been used about twice!... Now only running along the splitter and side skirts due to some nice new plate LEDs too

I could just buy a kit but this will be a quarter of the price, plus I've never liked the 4/5ft tube under a 6ft side skirt, the gaps look silly IMO...

Going to use some mini cable trunking mounted under the car as a base, paint the exterior black and leave the internals white... It should hopefully reflect the light more and stop the upwards lighting effect under the front.

Just got to wait for the insulated twin core to turn up now

Lee this is like the one i have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Remote-Und...ht_3631wt_1186

had it fitted by dean / paul hb at a mini meet , i know that they added a bit off wiring to it , but looks cool imo .

as for the wheel sealant poor boys stuff is good im only using collinite 845 /915 on mine ( better to have something on them as it just makes it easier to keep them clean .

the vectra has gone , but not far away so ill still see it form time to time

I take it this will be 1 continuous run of the led strip round the car until it needs wiring up mate?

Not continuous, just right up to each wheel guard under the sills, then the fill width of the front of the car back to the guards again
