    Default Auto Dip Mirror sensitivity

Can you easily adjust the sensitivity, maybe using tech 2 but was thinking that I could do with mine dipping with less rear light. I do have sensitive eyes but sometimes I think the lights behind are to bright and and that the auto dip has failed. If I shine my mobile flash into it she dips ASAP. Might just be me but once she is dipping it does allow me to work out what car it is.

Just had a thought, the street lights might effect the front sensor into thinking that its not to dark.

    Cheers

Nice one Rob, but the middle one is down but I do have the N/S up for the child seat, so maybe that has affected it since I first got the car.

Just an idea, what about some tinted film on the front sensor on mirror?
I have put my finger over to cover it up & dims mirror. Might be worth a try?

Front Sensor? Thought there was only the one that faces the rear. Can you explain further as I'm experiencing the same problems

There is a sensor on the windscreen side of the mirror to determine if it is dark outside so that the mirror can determine if it needs to dim or not. If it's dark outside and senses light on the glass side sensor then it will dim. If it is daylight outside, the glass side sensor will be detecting light from the rear window, but you wouldn't want it to dim.

On a slightly different slant, don't suppose anyone has a non-Veccie dog guard in the rear of their car, my mirror doesn't seem to work with it in an wonder how the 'real deal' will effect the mirrors' sensitivity?
