Default General question regarding hands-free, bluetooth and Bury mobile holder

    Evening all.

I'm about to ask a series of questons, all of which may seem utterly obvious, but if you will excuse my ignorance I'll be eternally grateful.

My 2007 Vectra C came with a Bury bluetooth phone holder. It's for a cheapy Nokia phone (nearly wrote Nikon then. Can you tell I'm a bit ignorant regarding technology?)

I'm pretty sure it's wired in as it makes a massive bleep when I turn the car ignition.

    1) can I get, say, a second sim card from my mobile service provider, stick it in a suitable Nikon, sorry Nokia, plug and have handsfree in the car?

    2) what's Bluetooth anyway?

    3) there are phone control buttons on the steering wheel of the Veccie. Will the Bury work with them? What are they supposed to do anyway?

    4) i imagine my iphone won't work with the Bury, as it's a different shape, but is there maybe a different cradle for the iphone that I could easily plug in, maybe?

Once again, sorry for the schoolboy questions.

    Cheers all

    Simon

If the Bury is Bluetooth you're iphone may work with it without the cradle.

Edit: why not get the full make of the hands free and google it to see if the iphone will work with it

You could try turning on the bluetooth on your iphone and see if it syncs with the incar kit, you may be asked for a four digit code as a pass key most are 0000 as default. The noise it makes when you turn the ignition on is it turning on of course.
