    Default IDS or not ???

Hi folks, im replacing my front near side wheel hub/bearing soon as the grey plug lead to it got ripped off because the clip it sits in came free, since this ive got the abs and tc lights on.
Ive priced up some parts and keep getting asked if my car has IDS, aint got a clue if my car has it, also should i replace the other side as well or doesnt it matter. While this is being done im getting new discs and pads too. thanks very much.

Very unlikely. Have you got a sport button? I think im correct in saying if you dont then you dont have IDS

you can get ids (cdc) on pre facelifts as ian c has it on his sri but it was a factory fitted option
have a look on the front strut housings under the bonnet and if you have it then there will
be a sensor on each strut or as already mentioned if you have the sports button that lights up wen you press it.

Thanks for the replys folks, its weird as the non ids hubs im told have a black connector for the abs and the ids ones have a grey plug, my hubs have a grey plug so thats whats threw me off. dont think my car has ids as i dont have a sport button, the ones ive seen with grey plugs are like mine but im told they are for ids.

ok lets clear a few things up

Although you car may not have the sports button nor the IDS sensors, if it has the round type pins on the connector (grey plug i think) then you are requiring the IDS hub, they fitted this after a certain year.... If the pins on the ABS plug are flat then that is the older type hub, my 05 plate one has the grey plugs and requires the IDS hubs
