    Default Judder on DPF Regen

I have recently got rid of my Vectra for a Saab 93 1.9 Tid (150) which is obviously the same engine as the 1.9 cdti (150)

I was wondering if anyone with this engine has experienced juddering while the DPF is regenerating. There is no EML, just a judder which lasts for about 5 secs, then goes away for 10, then judders again for 5 seconds and so on until regen has finished. Other than this the engine is running smoothly.

I have exactly the same car mate. I had quite bad DPF issues and had it taken out a couple of months ago. The car judders exactly as you described, which in mine was a pain in the backside as mine is an Auto.
Because mine wasnt looked after before I bought it, the DPF was blocked and wouldnt regen properly. As long as you dont get constant limp mode and the regen completes properly then its normal behaviour. Theres always the option to get it removed though.

Re-gens are ideally done on the motorway and the ecu should detect when this is appropriate.

Unfortunately if they happen under city/town/urban driving they can be a pain, its normal for some irregular rpm's and judder.

I have driven Mercs when in dpf cycle and had to pull over whilst the re-gen is performed due to rough running on an automatics, no much fun.
