    Default

usually related to the Turbo wastegate valve but could be other things that cause the symptom, but start by checking that the gate is working properly

DSCF0002AA.jpgDSCF0003AA.jpgIMG_3211B.jpgDSCF0001AA.jpgthe turbo wastegate is attached to the turbo itself

Also worth checking that the vacuum hoses dont have any splits or signs of perishing , this is a common problem on the Dti,s .
best bet is to change all the rubber vacuum tubing with silicon tube , you need three meters to do a DTi , cost ,s around about £7 on e bay

Some of the Dti s only have the one because they dont have the TP sensor on the inlet manifold, see third pic .

Get your misses or a mate to rev the engine for you while this is going on see if the wastegate diagfram arm is moving on the turbo.
You may have to rev the car up to 2000 rpm to get the arm to move if it does not move then i would suspect that you have a leak in the vacuum hose system this will cause the car to go into limp mode .

Would not exactly recommend mr muscle for cleaning boost sensor,s, but hey each to there own
