Well the missus and I sharing the Vec isn't working so I need to get her another car.
Was looking through all of the other alternatives, Fiesta, Corsa, Yaris, Clio, 206 etc) but one that did catch my eye was the citroen c2. Seems to be a very stylish compact car without being over priced like many of the others at the same age.
Problem is that we had a saxo before and tbh I wasn't impressed that much with it. The bodywork on the outside was mint (apart from the fact it would dent if breathed on and have you ever seen a saxo crash test ) but the inner wings and chassis legs were covered with surface rust.
Then there was the weedy 1.1 engine and the terrifying motorcycle style front brakes that looked to be lifted straight from the lighter AX.
As I believe that diesels are best (for long and short runs) we are looking at the PSA 1.4 HDI engined models which if i'm not mistaken is the same tdci unit used in the fiesta.
Anyone know anything about these smart looking little cars or are they a box of ****e giftwrapped?
