    Default Vauxhall visit

Off to Doves Vauxhall in Southampton on the 24th.
Car needs a diagnostic check on the tech2 system as my garage have been unable to find the exact fault with the P1112 code and I have already spent out enough cash on parts that haven't cured it.

    Has anyone used Doves before????

No, its a Vectra 2.2direct SRi. '06 plate with Z22YH engine.

I've had the Swirl Flap modification kit fitted & also put a new MAF on. Stll having the code/light appear after about 25-30 miles of it being cleared. So taking it to Vauxhal;l for further diagnostics.

Sorry, its not Doves. Its Hartwell's. My mate gave their number as the Salisbury Vauxhall is now closed.

Found this if it's any help

P1112 means "Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input"; the intake air temperature sensor is part of the MAF - Mass Air Flow sensor, which is the rectangle unit stuck to the top of the trunking that leads from the airbox to the engine. The MAF comes with a short piece of trunking attached; my suggestion would be to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Faults with the MAF are reasonably common.

Found on a 2.2 fourm but as u say u have replaced the maf but maybe it's went caput again lol

He mentioned he's already put a new MAF on it but its not out of the question it could be faulty.

Hartwells in Soton, they had my Astra in to replace the O/S wing mirror which had a large crack, I turned up to collect the car and they'd replaced the N/S wing mirror which had nothing wrong with it, absolutely ridiculous. The idiot responsible is probably long gone but I found the level of stupidity fairly impressive at the time.

I put the new MAF on Thursday just gone. It is a direct replacement, Siemens part 24404016. Surely it can't be that??? I'm now starting to think its the Swirl Actuator Motor that has the fault. If I get no answers from Hartwell's then I will go to Picador.
