Hi all, I'm in need of some pointers and hope someone can help.
I've a 53 plate Sigum Elite that has developed an issue with the drivers window. The window goes down fine but often won't go back up, sometimes when the window is halfway and I attempt to close it, it opens fully.
There's no issue with the switch as I can hear the relay in the DDM clicking when the switch is pressed and also the RHR window can be operated perfectly fine when the rear windows are selected. I currently have the door card off and have done the old wiggle test on the wire harness to rule out any broken wires being the cause, but this has not identified anything obvious. I have however (due to extreme circumstances) found that banging the DDM several time whilst operating the up button will suddenly fire the motor into life and close the window.
I'm assuming this is most likely being caused by a faulty relay inside the DDM, as a motor fault would likely also give some problems opening the window? So I'm just wondering if this is a common fault and whether there is a DIY fix, or will I have to replace the DDM? If so will a replacement DDM need to be programmed to the car and can I program this myself or is it a dealer only job?
I'm not really a Vauxhall person, my background is with Japanese vehicles so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
