Default How much for a service?

Looking to get my Vectra CDTi SRI (120ps) serviced soon.

Normally I just do it myself, however since it has a FSH and is only 5 years old I will bite the bullet.

Not taking it to a stealers, just a local independent (don't know which yet), car has done 46k, what is a ball park figure for a service?

This is what my local Vauxhall specialist charges (not dealers)

    Service 1 Service 2 Service 3 Service 4 Diagnostics
    From £99 From £130 From £99 From £149

I don't know the difference between them, doesn't say on their website, but I think you are looking £100 - £150

£129.00 is for a interim service so a oil and filter change and a look around.

Do it yourself cost about £75.00 for all the filters and oil and save a fortune.

It's a lot better to do it yourself then you can use higher quality oil and filters. When I did mine I stamped the book myself and filled in the details. No reason why you can't fill it in yourself.

Become a member of Vauxhall Masterfit Service Club and you'll get discounts off your servicing (and ½ price MOTs at certain participating dealers)

I had a look at masterfit - £129 for an oil/filter change and a once over seems a bit steep. Would sooner pay more at a local garage and get the other filters replaced as well.

i know what you mean with the fsh, my vec is four year old and has always been the dealer for service, then ive also done an oil change every 6 month. however when my 3 rd service was due intrim, vx was asking for £200 all they do is an oil and oil filter change, so i did it myself. didnt want to at first as wanted to keep up the service history, get onto autovaux online. ive just done my 6 month oil change and it cost me £58 and that was for oil oil filter air filter and poll filter, and took me less than 2 hours to do (dragging my feet so wife didnt drag me shopping) and i know exactly whats been done. ive a stack on paperwork from autovaux listing everything ive bought cant get better history than that.

Is that with the masterfit club card discount factored in?
