Default cleaned dpf but now got no boost

Hi all, I have 2006 sri 150 diesel, which recently broke down, spanner light on, and would not start full stop. Recovery man read codes stored and only on there was p2279 which he said was air intake system leak which he could not fix at road side, after looking at some forums for advice I cleaned the egr valve, boost pressure sensor, and checked all the vac and boost pipes all seem ok. I then removed the DPF filter and again following advice cleaned out all the soot and refitted. The car now starts up but there appears to be no boost, as there is a lack of power, there is also a kind of whistling/ humming sound coming from around the turbo unit which is audible from inside the car so is quite loud. If driven on the motorway spanner light comes on and the fault stored says p1901-75 Particulate sensor high differential pressure. Any advice on sorting this would be appreciated guys,
Ps the car had no problems with boost, before I cleaned the dpf have I done something wrong maybe ???

sounds like the dpf is still blocked up and the engine is struggling to breathe..

As above, assuming you used a jetwash, theres prob a build up of water still in there mabe, im pretty sure that the honeycomb centre of a dpf has small passages that are alternately blocked so only draining it one way might trap some water in, just an idea mind, try letting it tick over for a bit it, it might burn off any residual water if any

Thanks for the replies guys, I did soak the dpf in alloy wheel cleaner overnight then used pressure washer until i could see no more crud come out of it, when I first ran it there was some steam coming fron the exhaust but that cleared up pretty quick, I have done about 200 miles since doing the dpf and all that time it drives like a non turbo car, would a blocked semi blocked dpf allow the car to start and run ok but not allow any boost ???

Did you make sure you refitted the temp sensor and both pressure sensor pipes, if so i'd double check the two pressure sensor pipes/tubes as they can pop back off

There's no such thing as "cleaning" a dpf its impossible to do it correctly.

    Best options

    In order of recommendation.

    1. Completely remove the honeycomb re-fit the unit and get a remap with the dpf off.

    2. Get a dpf replacement straight through pipe made and have the sensor and pipe work removed and remap dpf off.

    3. Drill holes through the dpf re-fit the unit.

    4. Fit a new dpf.

You could check your exhaust for any leaks working from your dpf all the way to the pre-cat because when a dpf cloggs it causes quite a bit of back pressure and possibly found a weakness in your exhaust somwhere at the front, as you said you got some loud noises coming from that area, have you noticed any fumes smell from that area when engine is on?

I have checked for leaks and there is none, however I have been searching this forum for possible answers and found one which said if I remove the vac hose off the solenoid on the slam panel to see if the noise dissapears, did this and noise did dissapear, not sure what that means as there was no answer to the rest of the blog ?? still confused, thanks for the replies guys
