After paying out £340 to have the Swirl Flaps replaced on my Vectra 2.2direct (Z22YH engine) the P1112 fault code was still appearing.
After explaining the car's symptoms to my mechanic he suggested changing the MAF sensor before considering the Swirl Actuator Motor. I order a new Siemens MAF from eurocarparts.co.uk only yesterday and the part is already on my car!! It cost £98 with a 25% discount for using the special online code.
Have taken it on a 10 mile test drive and the performance and response is back, much more 'umph' even in the top gears. Also the 'jerky' idle I noticed with the light on has now gone and I can barely feel it idling now :-)
Fingers crossed the problem is now sorted and if I get P1112 in the future I will change the MAF before shelling out stupid money :-) Thanks for all the advice guys!!
