    well missus has finally started lessons and will need a 2nd car and heres my options if anyone can tell me good/bad experiences thanks

    The options you have slected are all going to be high insurance for a new driver, more sensible to get something a bit lower powered for a fw years.

    sorry should have said we will be sharing the two cars on a multicar policy and she will be a named driver

    I would go audi mate as there solid but parts are expensive if anytjing goes wrong the second i would choose is astra at the end of day if your lass is driving you dont want a big car she can prang lol

    Have you priced up the insurance to check it out. Been there, done that. Amy's still got a provisional licence, I put her on my insurance a year or two ago for a year and it wasn't too bad, a few hundred extra as a learner, but was warned by the insurance company rep that even as a named driver, once she passed her test her insurance rates would go through the roof. Worth checking before you decide on car fella.

    Aye that happened to me had my girl friend insured as a learner in a zs180 then she passed her test and it was silly money

    I would have thought it best to sit her in a choice of cars to see which suits her best, my wife is only 5ft so we bought a car that adjusts seats and steering wheel for reach and tilt, otherwise she is too close to the wheel.It also suits me at 6ft.

    Fiesta Zetec S TDCI. Nice small car for a new driver, looks quite nice and should be pretty cheap to run and insure.
