Lights on Vectras are poor, I found out last week coming home through the back roads.

Best thing to do is think about an HID upgrade as a few others have done. But even they can give problems, flickering etc.

    Default This may work

I had a similar problem and fitted blue Xenon lamps (bought on Ebay for about £14 for 4). Although they are the same wattage as the originals, they seem to be brighter (like the advertising blurb said) and give a much whiter light. You can pretend you have gas discharge lamps on the car too - they do look a lot like them! Make sure you don't get the 100watt lamps which are also on Ebay. Illegal and probably not good for your wiring loom.
I will be raising the dipped beams a bit as well - Vx seem to set them low for some reason!

I once put 80/100 watt bulbs in a Granada I had, they were like day light, the lights were set correctly and did not dazell any one, they are illegal for road use, but no one ever noticed, I then fitted them in a seirra and they started to make the grease on the battery terminals start to smoke so I removed them, the wires in the Granada must have been more heavy duty.

iv'e fitted a hid kit on the signum.bought from hids4u and is worth every penny.they are not cheap at £250 though,i bought the ulitimate kit and have no problems so far,as this was developed for the vectra c/signum.i had the so called hid effect bulbs fitted prior to the hid kit.all i can say is there is absolutly no comparison but given the price i would'nt expect anything else.hope this helps you mate.
