I hit a fox on the M73 just five days after getting my New Vectra, which damaged part of the nearside bumper and the fog light

On stopping, I found the fog light still attached, but hanging free, all the moutings on the bumper had been damaged

To access the fog light, remove the splash panel directly behind the lower spoiler splash guard
Access is very limited, and you may find it easier to remove the nearside wheel and liner, but it is not necessary
The fog light is attached by two plastic clips, one on at the top, which is V-shaped, and one at the bottom

Sadly, in my case I need a new bumper, and nearside fog light, splash panel, lower spoiler splash guard, and wheel liner...

take the bumper off... it's not a hard job at all, quite simple really.. then you've got all the access you need to change the lamp in the warmth of the kitchen..

I replaced my fog after the infamous badger incident. I'm certainly no mechanic but I took the bumper off. It takes less than ten minutes to get off and even less time to put back on.

    It's a doddle.
