Default 6 month oil change done

i dont know if its all in my mind but the car feels so much better after this. i have always done an oil and filter change every 6 month inbetween the usual dealer service. So today whilst i was off i made good use of my time and dropped the oil and replaced oil and filter, also replaced the pollen filter and air filter, which may be daft as the air filter was only over 6 month old but for the price from autovaux thought may as well. I did the oil change in end of feb start of march time as the dealers wanted silly money so i did it myself, after id finished i checked the day after and i thought there was an oil leak only a few weeks later it stopped, after today im starting to think it wasnt an oil leak id caused and maybe just the oil in that little drain point on the filter housing slowing running out if you know what i mean. anyways its nice to know its done and as said car feels better for it. ive got two weeks off so if the wife lets me ill be spending a good two days cleaning it and taking a da to it so more pics of that to come.

Good job bud, I do mine every six months no matter what. Nothing wrong in taking care of the engine especially as they age.

Is that the proper GM Dexos stuff? That's what my VX dealer quoted me.
Hat tip to Rushy for telling me it's under £20 at Autovaux.
