Default How reliable has your car been?

After reading a piece in What Car magazine recently, it turns out that Vauxhall are 28/35 for reliability (that's at the bad end of teh spectrum) and their most unreliable car is the Signum 70% of all Signums have needed work doing to them apparently

Unfortunately, mine has fitted in to that bracket in a big way....but how reliable has your car been?

I voted general wear & tear.. Its a z20net on 103k... Its in the garage the now for a water pump change. Only failed MOT few months ago on exhaust so changed for a powerflow cat back.

    Good car imo.

    p.s Its a pre-face vectra

Mine has been the most reliable, in terms of wear and tear, and servicing, up to 7 years old and 140K miles
However, this is the only car where I have had serious suspension issues, replacing both one front strut, one front spring, one rear spring, one front shock absorber, and one rear shock absorber
I have put this down to inferior components

reliable, getting front exhaust pipe tommrow becuase the 2 brackets have snapped on mine, exhaust is fine but i dont like the idear of the full weight of the exhaust hanging on less brackets it should.

once my membership card arrives, then my car is getting oil and filter change (last done about 2000 miles ago), pollen and fuel filter done.

have no worrys about changing any worn steering and suspension items etc if and when, just hope i dont have issues with snapped springs - ive never had spring insues on any other car, cam changes more regular, hpfp etc are something im prepaird for should it happen.

Blimey, most hird party warranty companies draw a line at £2500 for main work and £6500 when complete work is required
Even VX draw the line at 75% of value new for warranty work, although this is very rare

This was all Vx. I bought the car for 10k at one year old. It had one air con compressor, one engine ECU, a set of piston rings, a new head and the big one a new engine. To be fair the new engine was due to the dealer not timing up the engine right after re ringing it and it went pop. I've got the printout in my folder with all job numbers and prices.
