Brake Sets

Bought a front and rear kit (pads and discs) for my 2004 Sri last week.Just curious that the guy in the Dealer's got the prices and part numbers right.The front kit was the same price as the rear.I know that the discs would be roughly the same, but the rear pads are significantly cheaper on their own.Doesn't make sense to me.

V0093186297 £62.50 + VAT


Don't want to get sh4fted from the Dealer.I was going to fit the rears today but wanted to double-check first.

The part numbers are correct for disc and pad sets, the only query I found was the price.

My dealer has the RETAIL price for them as follows :-

93186300 @ £65.50 + VAT
93186297 @ £65.00 + VAT

So maybe they are giving you a little discount. But all sounds OK.

indeed, VX have rationalised all the brake kit pricing for the vectra..so no matter what axle, or what size disc's, it's all the same pricing now...

and Matt... you're being done mate.... VX's retail list price is £62.50 + vat...or TC at £44.32+vat

Sorry for being ignorant.What's "TC"? If its a "trade club" is it possible to join? I sent an application away,more in hope than anything, around 4 months ago and no reply what-so-ever.The pads need changing in the next week or two, so I had to take the plunge.

John, just go in the dealer and ask at the counter, say you are a cabbie or something else self employed, should open one straight up for you then, most things get 10% off and others are specials like the brake kits etc, bulbs are really cheap on it as is oil, but 20 litres at a time, it works buy 3 get 4, semi will cost around £20 for 4 tubs, full 5/30 does jump a bit but is still like half retail cost. hth.
