dunno about the price, but yes it can take that amount of time by reading threads of what some of the "experts" get up to on here.

If that's "mates rates" then it is quite high IMO, but the time taken is ok (depending on what is done, can take longer).

They charge £50 for a wash, their detailing sessions would be a fair price I reckon.

What are you after from a session on your car, you could find that you would be able to do it yourself with a bit of knowledge you could easily gain...

is your car really bad, youd be surprised what a jet wash and hand polish / wax / clay can achive - you could buy some top quality products for that sort of price, why dont you have ago, the lads on here will guide you through it.

It's not that bad but wanted to get rid of the swail marks and that. I don't know/trust my self with the electric polishers. I can do a decent job with the clay, polish and wax and thats just using the SRP and bmw hard wax i've got. Would it be worth spending decent money on polishes, do they make a big diff? What ever happened to it be to been happy with a IMO car wash haha

Your looking at a minimum of £200 for a company to put a machine polisher on your car. That link above is £250 for a one stage machine polish which is about the right price.
