    Default No boost under 2k

    Having no boost under 2k for a while with poor fuel consumption this is what's been done so far
    full service
    new inlet manifold and egr
    cleaned boost sensor
    new pipes on boost control solenoid
    new thermostat (know wont cause boost problems bus was broke)
    egr blanking plate
    was woundering if anyone has any ideas why the problems are still car runs fine otherwise any help would be great

    Sorry it's a 1.9 cdti Sri 150 with 80k on the clock

    Done all that the only thing I not done is strip and clean the boost control solenoid and the throttle housing

    Update on problem
    stripped and cleaned throttle body housing and checked and cleaned circuitry all fine but housing well full of gunk
    stripped and cleaned boost control solenoid that all sorted and working tidy now was also gunked up
    replaced injectors 3 and 4 wiring cconnections
    it ticks over much smother now and there n judder around the 1400 mark the problem of no boost under 2 k is still there but now noticed a lot more boost above think the bcs was so dirty that it wasn't boosting tidy I also reset the service light gone out now but on start up the car spanner light is on till you give a tap on the throttle (is this right) also noticed a bit of a whine now when the turbo kicks in can anyone help
    would also like to say a big thanks to all on here because the work I have done sor far on it the help 2s and people's comments have saved me a fortune thanks all

    When you say "tap the throttle", do you mean enough to raise the revs above 1500rpm (turbo kicking in) or not?
    Turbo whining may be a sign you have got something working that wasn't before - the bcs controls the turbo wastegate so maybe this is functioning properly now.

    I mean just tap it so the rpm bearly go up and that what I thought bout the bcs and there more power there now to but still can't get any below 2 k and then when it kicks in it so sharp that it make I wheel spin upto 3rd it not smooth at all just bang there it is
