engine light

right just had more work done on my it was cutting out on me while i was driving so i had the egr changed and 2 injectors cleaned out. it started and ran fine while the mechanic was here. i then took it out for a drive the next day and when i turned it on the maintence light was on. i carried on driving then noticed it was missing so i pulled over again and it cut out again. restarted it and the light went out the the car worked fine for the rest of the day. could it have been cutting out due to the fact of have a working egr now and not used to it? turned it on again this morning and the light was back on. left it running and it went out. the mechanic said my glowplugs wernt working. would this cause the light to come on when cold?

Just tell him to read the codes as the ecu has logged a fault.

i would but he lives miles away lol can anyone recommend a code reader for myself?

Having problems with my 2.2 (read previous posts).Car/spanner light coming on & going off plus engine light on.Code read po403 (exhaust gas recirculation valve).I'm not sure what to do next.
