    Default vectra c 2litre turbo idle problem and engine cut out HELP

    Hi people
    currently have a vectra c 2litre turbo, ive noticed that it is idling up and down on tick over, also sometimes when i slow the car right down and go round a corner to come to a stop the engine has started to cut out.any help anyone, i have tried a fuel system cleaner and recently been serviced, but still happening,

    You need to have the idle speed increased by someone who has a Tech2 device. It's a Saab engine, and that's the official Saab fix for those symptoms.

    There's a couple of people having this problem atm, there dosent seem to be a deffernat fix but I'd try a good service, clean throttle body and butterfly valve etc. The fact its actually cutting out could also point to a faulty mass air flow sensor.

    As for increasing the idle speed, I've never heard this one mentioned but its certainly worth a try.

    Don't forget keep us updated if you get to the bottom of it

    There is indeed a definite fix, it's mentioned in WIS - Saab's workshop programme.

    Mine does the same. It's embarrassing when I stall it! Also the idle problem seems worse since I had new sport backboxes.
