Default Idea for boot lighting, should work?

Bear in mind I'm talking about a signum here guys,

After trying to get new bulb holders from scrappers and giving up,
I was thinking of buying some smallish drl's and cutting them neatly into the carpet style sides of the boot so they fit flush, about 2 foot or so from the existing boot light, (wired from that)

Will they be too much to power from the boot bulb or be alrite?

They only light up when the boots open so shouldnt cause any fires

Smd and LEDs draw miles less current then bulbs, you'll be fine...

Done it in my vectra, branched off the existing light with two LED strips along the sides of the boots, work fine well over two years down the line

I have 36 led light panel fitted in my siggy ,s boot , comes with 3 way switching and is brilliant.
Much better than the led strips again wired off the existing interior light with a earth taken from the adjoining fuse box
    Driving vauxhall,s for 30 + years

My Signum already has 3 factory-fit lights in the boot. How much more illumination is required?
