Default eBay / Other places - What's the "best" source of paint for calipers ?

Painted calipers ? Where did you buy your paint and what paint / why did you choose it ?

How much paint do you need for four wheels ? Do you use anything like a primer or go straight for a final coating ? How many coats should I allow for ?

    All advice welcome.

Looking to get mine done now that the new snowflakes are showing them up. Wanting a "casual" rather than a "high heeled tarty look"

So, as said, what to use, and where to get it ? How much to buy (litres) and the "best colour" to go with Lightning Silver ? (I'm thinking Black, Dark Blue possibly even Silver ?)

    Cheers

Halfords Caliper Paint, £10 for a tin. A tin is enough for 8 calipers so loads left! Just clean the caliper with carb cleaner or de-greaser of some sort then slap it on (neatley) lol.

I use hammerite, and make sure the calipers are free from loose rust and dirt etc, wipe over with whiter spirit etc and let dry then paint away...about 2-3 coats usually does it.

I would personally only do it in summer though on a very hot day so they dry properly.

Thanks for the summertime tip, maybe I'll leave it for another 9 months or so, we'll have to see if we get the Indian Summer yet that they keep talking about.
I know about the properties Hammerite has for sorting out exterior metalwork like railings and other metal exposed to the weather, but had never explored its heat resistant properties before.
    Cheers again
