    Default So......3D TV's

Are they worth the cash? Been speaking to the missus about buying myself an early christmas present and I would kinda like a 3D TV.

Looking to spend about £500 at the most and I don't mind cheaper brands...just want value for money

Also does anyone know where sky are going with 3D? I know of one channel but are there going to be others?

i like gadgets and have some nice av gear. have no interest in 3d though, and the people i know that have 3d never use it after the first few weeks of buying it lol, but its your money

id rather have a nice 50 inch plasma, maybe a smart one (skpye iplayer youtube etc) with a fast refresh rate.

If you one m8 all you'll be missing is the big family size slipper to match the Eye Test looking specticles you have to wear to watch it.

Yeah that is one downside I suppose but when the PS4 comes out 3d gaming you'll want a go of my slipper and glasses too

now watching 1080p youtube stuff is more like it, and have to say the footage off my broadcast quality panasonic hd camcorder played back on a 1080p plasma blew my away the first time i pluged the new camcorder into the tv, but to me 3d is a fad that aint took off the way they would of hoped, all down to lack of content available, even through sky

have to say though for example, that if a 50in 1080p 3d tv can had cheaper then say a 50in standard 1080p, then of course you buy the 3d one.

I have a 50" LG Plasma 1080p 3D tv. The picture is amazing, the 3D is amazing if you are watching a proper 3D broadcast/blu-ray. Also, it can convert normal tv into 3d too but that looks a bit crap to be honest. Try www.richersounds.com thats where i got mine, they seem to be alot cheaper than the bigger chain stores and often sell last years models at knock down prices.
