Drove home tonight and after starting up and driving car/spanner light kept on coming on and going off,must have done it 12 times.Do i really have to pay a lot of money to find out the problem.

need to get the codes read
By not getting the codes read you may be damaging parts of the car (the cat etc.) if there is a fueling problem. It may lead to you having to spend even more money in the future if something fails or if the car fails it's next MOT.
There is surely someone near to you that could read the codes or you can pick up cheap code readers for 30-40 quid
Had the codes read PO403.Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.Is this something i can change myself?
