    Default Swirl Flap kit fitting

My Vectra is finally having the swirl flap mod kit fitted tomorrow.

£194 seems a bit steep just for a plastic bar (actuator) and 4 plastic flaps with rubber parts, but if it eliminates my P1112 code problem then it was worth the money!!

Has anyone else had any P1112 code problems after having the mod kit fitted???

My local garage are doing it. Sorry Paulhb, I was waiting for a response from you as you mentioned possibly knwoing someone who can do it. Never mind, as long as the problem gets solved then happy days

I didn't consider changing the complete manifold as plenty of people, including Vauxhall, told mefor my engine (Z22YH) the flaps can be replaced without manifold.
That is, unless one of the flaps came loose and got sucked into engine!!.......

All fitted for £144.00. The kit was £194.77. Fingers crossed that is the end of my Swirl Flap problems!! However, the mechanic did mention that if the light was to come back on for the same fault then could either be faulty ECU, seized Actuator motor or faulty wiring.

Next job, fit the rear centre headrest and get the rest of the service items done. Although it has now been 2 years since last service (which was only an interim one) the car has only covered 9,000 miles.
