what does this do?

While fitting my parrot I had to pull the ash tray out to get the cigarette lighter cables. Underneath I found 2 cables that aren't being used.

1 was taped to the cigarette cables

1 was just left underneath but was stuck to a piece of foam


Unfortunately I cant post pictures from my phone but does anyone know what im referring to and what the cables do?

Single wire with a black connector on it is for the accessory socket light and there's one for the ashtray too.
