Right, i have a 2005, preface, full canbus Signum and i'm looking to fit some LED strips as kerb lighting under the doors. I'm wondering, is there either a dimming (with the interior light) live, a switched (with the door opening/ closing) live, an ignition live or a live that switches with the lights? I think i've noticed that some Signums have a lit red marker in the back of the doors.....

They'll be on then whenever the car is unlocked. Only ideally want them on when the doors are open if poss.

Can you not connect to the wire paul said, then run one up to the switched -ve in the interior light? that was my plan.

I wanted to try and avoid running cables down from there, then splitting out and going to all the individual doors through the rubber conduit. It'll just turn into a mamouth job for just a few lights. I'm sure i've seen some signums with red 'door open' markers in the doors. Think i'm going to get the meter out and get the drivers door card off.

Had thought about doing something like this myself & gave it a bit of thought , there will be a permanent live feed to the electric window motors & I would expect there to be a switched earth in the wiring to the door latch as this is supposedly where the feed for the interior light comes from .

surely the switch that makes the interior light illuminate when the doors open would be a good place to wire in to
