I've recently bought the above Double Din unit to replace the factory unit. On inspection the "cage" of the new unit looks deeper than the factory cage and wont fit.
Anyone have a similar problem?

you need to take the oem cage out 1st
I have done. The cage on the Kenwood unit is approx 5 to 6mm larger in height than the original
Hi Blueandwhite
Its just the question I was goint tp ask. Mines a JVC AW60BT and although the unit is smaller than the aperture the cage it too tall for the aperture. I can see why as the cage has a receess where it grips the top of the unit. Its not entirely flat like the single din cages. I have heard of things called cage kits. I wonder if someone might be along to confirm what needs to be done.

You need to get a fitting kit to fit an aftermarket stereo, this replaces the cage that comes with the stereo and has the fasica with it as well. http://www.connects2.co.uk/c2search....=233&modID=875.
It should show the colour you need on the top of the factory radio when you remove it.
Thanks folks ordered a kit today and its been despatched!
Thanks
I'll be doing the same!!
