    Default Keeping your cdti right

Just wondering what people do to keep there 150 cdti's right e.g. how often you service your car, what your service consits off, how often do you clean your egr valve etc etc.

Just basically things to stop the big faults happenning and to keep your car working on the road.

I do a lot of miles you see and just done a service so want to keep the car right

    Default

    1. Service as per manufacturer's rec with exception of changing cam belt before 80k miles
    2. Use VX parts only even oil
    3. Never cleaned EGR (other Vec now on 95k and running sweet)
    4. diesels best when warm,... both mine are run for half hour at least on a daily basis, I believe short start stop trips kill the cars. Both mine suffer none of the listed issues on this site.
