    Low Oil Pressure....
Stop revving it that's the first thing. That isn't helping.
What grade oil is in there, and is this a newly acquired car?
    What's the mileage?
    Is the oil level OK?
Is the knock at the bottom of the engine, or is it more a clatter at the top?
Low on Power, or any smoke?

Sounds like it's worn bottom end to me mate... but need more info.

sounds like what happened to me i ran low on oil and starved the top pulley of oil and knackered it so needed that pulley replaced and also a gasket that was the cause of the oil leak

That sounds like a much more optimistic prognosis!

I see, The oil grade is OK for that Engine.
Given Power, and no leaks, that might rule out oil starvation unless there is a blockage in the system. As Angel Mentioned the valves on the VVT can stop working and cause a clatter/Knock. Get these checked out, esp at 125k
Does it sound like a DERV when started from Cold?Is there a top end rattle/clatter?

As the oil warms up it thins out, and this engine does run hot compared to he others. (It's not uncommon to see the test mode temp up past 107 Degrees C on normal running!!!)
You might try a heavier grade oil. Maybe a 10 or 15w30.
How old is the oil in there? A couple of months I guess. It shouldn't have deteriorated in that short space of time unless you are putting in massive mileages.

You might want to try some flushing oil to get rid of a blockage.
You run it through the engine, it breaks down the clumps of oil that clog up the system. You drain it out then refill with Castrol Magnatec, or something half decent.
Also you might want to get the VVT Solenoids/Valves tested first though, these can cause a rattle or clatter on the top end new the timing belt cover.

An Oil change on these is a very easy job and with practice can be done in a lunch hour easily.. It will give you an idea of the state of the engine...
What colour is the oil now in there. If it's a couple of months old and it should be like new, or very slight discolouration.
