    Default Aircon problem?

sorry admin/mods couldn't start this thread in aircon section for some reason?

had my aircon re-gassed last week, was fine that day but now same temp as with its switch off, you can hear it kick in when you push the button but looks like it has a leak.

anything i can check/do, or anything i can look at on tech2?

car has 6 months warranty from the garage i brought it from, dont know if this covers this but costs me £25 a time in fuel.

    many thanks

When hey regass it they can put in a fluoro dye, it will show where the leak is.

Well phoned the place where we brought the car from but i dont think they cover the aircon as part of the warranty but they did say when they re-gassed it they put dye in.
I dont know whether to take it to get checked or take the plunge and buy a new condenser?

Get them to regass and put the dye in. It is the only real way to find the leaks.

You can then decide if you want to repair and who by!

    hi he means

Only applies if you've got climate control. Because CC runs all the time, you can go into a menu via the CC panel and switch the AC into eco mode.

oh i see mate, can hear compressor kicking in but its not cold, dye was put in when regassed so will need to find someone who can check for leaks, the misses said it was freezing straight after they gassed it, so maybe only lasted 1-7 days at most. garage did check it with a sniffer etc and said they couldnt find any leaks?
