2008 vectra 1.8 sri trouble selecting gears, hard to get into gear but once in drives ok

hi all i have a 2008/08 vectra c sri 1.8
i drove it yesturday and it was fine but today the clutch peddle felt slack/lose but clutch working ok not slipping etc
i carried on driving it today and all of a sudden it was very hard to select any gear i had to push the gear stick very hard to get into the gear i was selecting but once it was in the gear i selected it drove fine.
i drove the car later on today after it had cooled down and it drove ok but then it did start to get alittle dodgy selecting gears again then it stopped and was fine again has anyone had this problem or know of anyone who has and know what it coloud be?

Check the clutch fluid level?

thats assuming its a hydraulic clutch.

the fluid is ok mate just checked it
it is the same fluid bottle as the brake fluid isnt it?

As far as I know it is. OK, then maybe you have fluid passing the seals, have you tried pumping the clutch pedal before shanging gear?

I would try bleeding the the system, just incase you have air in it. It sounds to me the clutch isnt fully engaging when you press the pedal down.

There will be a bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, you bleed them like you bleed brakes.
