Default Need some Rear Contol Arms - are the EuroCarParts ones any good?

    Guys,

I need some new rear control arms as the rear clunking is doing my head in the car has also lost the backend in light rain on a roundabout.

I have checked on ECP and they have the 30% off offer at present, £50 delivered for a pair of "Q-Drive" rear control arms.

Are they any good or is there a better place to buy some better spec ones for the same/similar price?

    Thanks.

    Bye bye Vec B

You probably won't find any better ones for the same price, they should last a year or more. I think the GM ones are a bit better, but cost a lot more.

They're not on Trade Club (presumably Vauxhall thought they'd last the life of the car...), and cost around £80 each retail.

I bought q drive ones for £27 each and has transformed rear handling and no more knocking. I did full suspension front and rear, shocks, springs, drop links, arb bushes. and recommend getting full 4 wheel alignment done. Just need 2 new rear tyres now to complete

If these are the ones you are looking at http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Va...79bb689&000320
With ECP if any of their part numbers ends in a 0 - it means they are OE standard - so these come up to that standard hth

I'm not sure that's true, because ECP periodically also sell some alternative Lemforder ones at a much higher price than the Q-Drive ones, so if the Q-Drive arms were OEM quality, would that mean that the Lemforder arms were Super-OEM? Probably not.

I can only tell you what the Manager at my local branch of ECP told me - and that was any product they sell that the part number ends in a zero is OEM standard - surely there must be more than one manufacturer that can produce OEM standard items! A lot of people will pay over the odds for a branded name rather than a non branded that is probably as good or even better.
ECP also have a sister site Carpartsforlesshttp://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/...9079bb689&0003 and they sell ECP stuff a lot cheaper - theses arms are £25 from them - so ECP sell at a higher price but usually have some discount offer that brings it down to the lower price anyway
