upraded speakers running off standard hu

Can anyone reommend a good set off after market speakers to run off the standard hu? I dont want to lose the sat nav and the look of the dash by using a double din or singledin hu

I'd be happy to spend upto about £100-£150 per set but if can get some cheaper thats a bonus. I'm open minded about the cost but no more than £150

I could be wrong but I thought to get the best out out of upgraded speakers you needed to drive them with more power. Maybe more than the standard HU gives out. I also found a real improvement in sound quality and clarity by upgrading the HU and keeping the standard speakers, which I know you don't want to do.

Upgraded speakers NEED to be AMPED up to have any significant sound difference. If you upgrade the head unit the standard speakers sound better but watch it doesn't overpower the standard speakers or they could blow!

Yes, but you'll need to buy a LINE OUT CONVERTER which connects to the speaker cables already there for the speakers and then run a RCA from this to the Amp.

iirc, running an amp of a high level input (the current speaker cable) won't give you as much sound quality as running it from RCA....something to bear in mind
