Which gearbox oil for an F40

Im spending the day doing bits on my car and 1 thing ive been meening to do is drain off the gearbox oil and replace it with the correct amount(plus some molyslip)

My question is,apart from the VX stuff is there anything i can get from halfords as i dont think my local vx is open on a saturday

Normally parts departments are open till 12pm on Saturdays from my experience. The vx stuff is pretty cheap too

By the way,the 2.4 litres i will be putting back in,is that 2.4 as in just under 2 and a half or 2 litres 2centerlitres?

I wouldn't put the Vauxhall oil into the F40, IMHO it's part of the reason for the poor quality gearchanges, it looks like ATF rather than manual gearbox oil.

plus its a job you only want to do once, so why skimp on it...

A lot of company's now fill manual gearboxes with ATF from the factory , I used ATF in my f40 box and it's been great
