Default What happens if I just unplug a suspect bad EGR on a 1.9CDTI 150?

If I unplug it, is that the same as blanking or will this cause serious issues? Thanks

I'm running with it unplugged for 2 years now. Car runs very nice. Only downside is the EML light will be ON all the time.

Will put EML light on and itself may not 'seal' properly compared to a blanking plate. I've had mine blanked off for 23k now, no issues and it has been mapped off of the car now for the last 10k - means there is no EML light and the EGR valve is fully sealed.

Thinking of unplugging mine to bring light up and plug it back in and get dealer to replace it under warranty. Easy way to rule out my lack of power ;0/

So if you have another engine issue you won't know, as you'll assume it's only showing the EGR is unplugged!
