I bought a new DVR after having limited success with a dual DVR camera, and thought I'd post the results for those that might be interested or looking for one.

The camera I bought is linked in the video description.

Seems decent image quality. Is it hard-wired into your car somehow or is it clipped to sun visor and runs off a battery?

It mounts onto the windscreen using a suction cup just like a satnav. I've mounted it just behind the rear view mirror on the passenger side. The camera can run on it's own integrated battery, however I have the charger running from the front charger socket, behind the glove box, up through the passenger fuse panel and pillar and across the roof lining up to the camera. As the ignition is turned on, the camera turns itself on and starts recording. When the ignition is turned off, it records for about 5 secs then turns itself off. I'll post up a picture of it fitted when I can.
